Executive board needs enthusiastic members to take their place and further improve Biology Club and Tri Beta when their term ends. Positions and Descriptions
There are five positions in executive board: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian
Terms serve for one academic year
President

Communicates with Advisor, SPA, SGA, OSIL, CESO, Faculty (for FISH and related events) and presidents of other organizations

In charge of scheduling and running meetings

Works closely with all of the E-board to ensure everyone can do their job effectively

Sets meeting times for Executive Board to meet, as a whole or individually
Vice President

Plans annual parties
-
Plans fundraisers and community service opportunities
-
Sends cost for event to Treasurer for funding request form if needed

Sees that all supplies are obtained for events
-
Meets with President once a semester to create a semesterly calendar for Tri Beta and Biology Club

Takes President's place in the event they are unable
Treasurer

Counts the club money periodically throughout the year

Maintain a log of the money through the funding form on the biology club Gmail account
-
Determine the pricing on goods for fundraising.

Assist Vice President on fundraising ideas

Fills out funding request forms

Creates budgets for parties, event, and fundraisers
Secretary

Maintains Biology Club Roster

Marks attendance at all Tri Beta and Biology Club events

Creates weekly email reminders

Forwards emails from the President to the club

Creates Google forms and documents for sign ups and polls (including elections) through the biology club Gmail account

Creates flyers
Historian
-
Maintains the website and all Personal Relations Material

Can but is not required to hold a blog

Takes photos at all events

Responsible for maintaining Tri Beta Roster and noting graduating seniors

Grants Serpent Award (GPA’s) for Tri Beta

Takes on role of Secretary if not present

Requirements
-
Must be a member of Tri Beta and Biology Club

Dedicated to the improvement of the Biology Club and Tri Beta
-
Participate in all Biology Club/ Tri Beta activities and events
Objectives

To ensure that both Biology Club and Tri Beta continue to grow and better its members

To continue having an impact on the community

To increase morale of members and encourage interest from the community

To be a positive role model for club members and the department
Elections
Applications will be submitted to biologyclub.bridgewater@gmail.com before application due date (Specified in emails and at meetings) Submission only through email.
Applications will be reviewed at the following Biology Club by all its members. If you apply you are encouraged to attend to be able to answer any questions.
Elections will take place during a Biology Club/Tri Beta meeting (specified by email). Tri Beta members will also be encouraged to attend.
Email will be sent to the club announcing the new Executive Board.

It will ask some basic questions about you (Name, year, etc.)
It will ask you to describe what you would like to do with your position, why you would be good for the position, and past experiences.
Do not write a paragraph, be concise and direct.
Make sure when you write what you would like to do, only write SMART goals!
Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic and Timely
Ex. As historian, I would like to maintain an Instagram account for the Biology Club where I make at least one post per week
